Solander is a fishing company operating in both New Zealand and Fiji. Solander has a long history in the New Zealand and Fijian seafood industries. The company has established itself as a supplier of high quality export grade fish to all its customers in Japan, USA, Europe and New Zealand. The emphasis on quality is achieved through owning and operating our own vessels. Our quality control starts at the ocean.
Solander (Pacific) Ltd - A Fijian Fishing Company
Solander (Pacific) Ltd is one of Fiji's longest established fishing companies. Solander (Pacific) Ltd commenced operations in Fiji in 1987 and became a registered Fijian Company in 1988. Solander's owned fleet of longline vessels operate from Suva. Solander vessels are locally manned.
Every year Solander directly contributes FJD15 million to the economy, and employs around 300 persons with on-going training of skippers, crew and engineers.
Sustainable longline fishing
Solander is committed to sustainable and responsible longline fishing across the Pacific. Solander has supported the reduction in the Fijian longline fishing fleet to 60 vessels for the 2006 season.
